We get things wrong. When you tell us, here is exactly what happens.
What is worth reporting
- A quote credited to the wrong person, or credited to someone when it should
be Anonymous - A lyric with the wrong words, or the wrong artist
- A symbol that renders as an empty box on a common device
- A platform limit or feature that has changed since we checked
- A slang definition that no longer matches how the word is used
- Broken links, duplicated lines, anything that looks unattended
How to report it
Email [email protected] with the page URL, the specific line, and what is wrong with it.
If you have a source, include it – that is usually the difference between a
correction taking a day and taking a week.
What we commit to
- A reply within three working days, including when the answer
is that we could not verify it. - Factual errors are corrected and dated. The page carries a
note saying what changed and when. We do not quietly rewrite history. - Typos and formatting are fixed silently. No note needed for a
missing comma. - Unverifiable reports are not acted on. If we cannot confirm a
correction, we will tell you that rather than change the page on a single
unsourced report. This cuts both ways and it is the honest position.
Attribution and removal
If you hold rights to material quoted here and want it credited differently or
taken down, the same address works, and our
copyright policy sets out the formal process. If you
want to know whether you can use something from this site, that is a
different question and it is answered on
can I actually use these.
